What do you do when your job gets eliminated, or you’re pressed into taking a lesser job for less pay?  Do you chuck that rat race, and go back to school?  Thousands are choosing to enhance their degrees.  I heard today that Cornell’s law school is seeing a 52% increase in applications over last year.  Law schools and business schools are freaking buried in applications.  They’re turning down applicants with 4.0′s and nearly perfect GMAT’s and LSAT’s.  I am not saying this to dissuade you.  I’m setting you up so you know where to go for great support.

I interviewed Ann Levine of www.lawschoolexpert.com last week for a show on the wait-list.  A firebrand, I loved her energy.  Turns out she has a book.  It arrived today. The Law School Admission Game: Play Like An Expert. In the interview for Law School Podcaster - the show will take a few weeks to produce – she told me that applicants who are wait-listed do have options.

Here’s some advice from Ann’s book: Don’t stalk.

She’s as bubbly and amusing in print as she was doing our interview, and she covers a lot of your “what if” kind of questions.

What Levine does best in this slim book is to tell stories.  And, that – is what you are advised to do.
